Galina Voskoboeva was a first-round loser at the 2011 US Open, falling to the No. 7-seeded Francesca Schiavone. But Voskoboeva put up a good fight, taking it to three sets. Voskoboeva entered the match No. 87 in the WTA singles rankings.
